Goodbye dilated capillaries & spider veins

Our non-invasive Capillary Reduction treatments naturally remove vascular veins on the face and upper body.

About Capillary Reduction

2.35@x2.png

Laser Therapy for capillary reduction is a relatively painless treatment that increases the production of collagen, making those vessels naturally disappear.

Vascular

Capillary Removal is the treatment of an individual dilated capillary using laser energy to target the blood supply within the vessel. The heat from the laser can collapse the capillary wall, causing the vessel to shut down on itself. Your body will naturally eliminate the capillary vessel via the lymphatic system. Our Vascular Lesion Removal specifically targets broken capillaries, spider veins (not blue veins), and angiomas present on the facial and upper body areas.

Flushing

Flushing is the same concept of heating the tiny microvascular network, shutting it down, and removing it as waste. This treatment specifically targets facial redness and is beneficial for clients with Rosacea. It can be done in conjunction with Kleresca® Rosacea for optimum results.

We use the medical-grade laser technology for fast results, and recommend treatments at 6-12 week intervals. It’s a non-surgical treatment so you can walk out of our clinic with confidence and clear skin!

For capillary reduction, we use medical-grade laser technology for fast, effective results. The number of treatments will depend on the size of the capillaries and their location. Usually, smaller capillaries respond more quickly to the treatment. To maintain results achieved, we recommend treatments every 2-4 week intervals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question not listed below? Visit our FAQ page to find more answers and info about our complete range of laser, skin, body, and cosmetic procedures.

  • What areas can be treated with Capillary Reduction?

This treatment can be performed on most areas of the face and upper body with the exception of the head. The most common treatment areas include the face and decolletage.

  • How many Capillary Reduction treatments are required for best results?

Vascular Lesion Treatments are effective and improvements can be seen after the first treatment. The number of required treatments will vary depending on the type and location of the vascular lesion. Broken capillaries on the facial area (usually on the cheeks, chin, and around the nose), will usually require 1-2 treatments done at monthly intervals.

For Laser Flushing, we recommend 4-6 treatments done at monthly intervals for optimum results. We treat angiomas in the clinic and it usually requires one treatment. Our experienced Skin Therapists will assess the vascular lesion and provide a tailored treatment plan suitable to your goals.

  • Is Capillary Reduction treatment suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women?

We require medical clearance for pregnant and breastfeeding individuals prior to proceeding with the treatment.

  • Is there downtime with Capillary Reduction treatments?

There is minimal downtime with this treatment. You may experience some redness, swelling, and slight bruising on the treated areas. This is completely normal and will usually subside within 3-5 days when you follow the recommended aftercare directions. Scabbing may occur for treated angiomas and this will usually appear 5-7 days after the treatment.

  • Will Capillary Reduction provide permanent results?

The treated vascular lesion will not return if you follow the recommended aftercare directions and correctly maintain the treatment area. Vascular lesions such as broken capillaries and angiomas can appear as you age so maintenance treatments are recommended. For facial redness, you will expect to see significant improvements after completing the course of Laser Flushing treatments. Maintenance treatments are recommended every 2-3 months to maintain results.

  • I am currently taking medication. Can I still have this treatment done?

Certain medications can cause the skin to be photosensitive. To avoid adverse reactions from occurring, we advise you to seek medical clearance from your GP prior to proceeding with the treatment.

  • Who is suitable for this treatment?

Vascular Lesions are more prominent on individuals with light to medium skin tones and are suitable for individuals with a Fitzpatrick 1-3 skin tone. For facial redness, Laser Flushing is suitable for individuals with fair to light skin tones (Fitzpatrick 1-2).

  • My spider veins are a blue-green colour. Can I still have this treatment done?

No – this treatment is not effective for individuals with blue or green spider veins. Our treatment is suitable for red and purple spider veins. We recommend you seek medical advice from a vein specialist.

  • Does this treatment hurt?

Pain tolerance varies between individuals. For Vascular Lesion Removal, you may experience a cold, tingling sensation in the treatment area and this will usually subside after the treatment. For Laser Flushing, it is a warming sensation on the treated area.

  • I have Rosacea. Can I have this treatment done?

Yes – both Laser Flushing and Vascular Lesion Removal do reduce facial redness and broken capillaries which is common for individuals with Rosacea. For individuals with Rosacea who experience swollen, red bumps and textured skin, we recommend Kleresca® Rosacea which can help target both the facial redness and texture associated with Rosacea.
