Tailored Cosmetic Aesthetics Just for You

Lines and wrinkles can result from sun exposure, aging, dehydration, and genetics. During your consultation with a Laser Clinics Cosmetic Registered Nurse, you'll discuss your cosmetic goals and undergo a thorough facial assessment.

How it works

How Anti-wrinkle Injections Work-min.jpg

Wrinkles are a natural part of the aging process. As we age, our skin becomes thinner, drier, and loses elastin, reducing its ability to protect itself. This leads to the formation of wrinkles, creases, and lines.

Another key factor in wrinkle development is continuous muscle contraction, which creates 'dynamic wrinkles' that appear only during muscle use. Over time, if these dynamic wrinkles are not addressed, they can become 'static wrinkles,' becoming permanently etched into the skin.

Whilst the face is in motion the lines that appear are known as dynamic wrinkles, however, repeated movement over time forms deeper lines and folds known as static wrinkles.

Cosmetic Aesthetics work to prevent the formation of static wrinkles, softening and smoothing the appearance of existing fine lines.

This treatment is most effective when used as a preventative measure.

Cosmetic Aesthetics help to achieve the softening of lines and wrinkles while reducing the severity of visible wrinkles.

Individual results may vary. A consultation before the first treatment is required, so please notify us of any health conditions or medical history during this appointment. This information will ensure your individual needs are assessed and that appropriate guidance is given.

Depending on your skin's sensitivity and any medications you may be taking (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or other blood thinners), you might experience some temporary, minor side effects, including:

  • Mild swelling around the injection site
  • Tenderness or bruising at the treatment areas
  • Tiny red dots at the treatment sites
  • A mild headache, depending on the treatment area

Next Steps

As results can vary, we recommend scheduling a follow-up appointment 2 weeks after your treatment to review and discuss your personalized outcomes

Benefits

Not Permanent.svg

Soften & Reduce

While their main purpose is to improve or temporarily reduce existing lines, Cosmetic Aesthetics can be used as a preventative measure to help soften the expression lines that form when your face moves.

Restrict Movement

With both age and repetitive muscle movement, lines settle into the face and are visible even at rest. Anti-wrinkle injections can be used to soften those lines and wrinkles in the skin,

Symmetry.svg

Shape & Symmetry

Cosmetic Aesthetics can do more than just reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles; they can also be used to lift certain parts of the face and balance asymmetrical features.

Not Just For Wrinkles

Cosmetic Aesthetics can also be used to treat non-cosmetic areas. Some added benefits of treating targeted muscles can include a reduction in excessive sweating (in areas such as the underarms).

Have a question not listed below? Visit our FAQ page to find more answers and info about our complete range of laser, skin, body, and cosmetic procedures.

  • Vaccines and Cosmetic Aesthetics

For Cosmetic Aesthetic treatments, we advise you to wait a minimum of 7 days before or after receiving any vaccination.

If you have any concerns, we advise you to seek medical advice prior to your treatment.

  • Why am I required to complete a Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) screening?

We want to ensure you feel confident and comfortable every step of the way. That's why we adhere to the latest guidelines set by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) for Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) screening, developed by the Medical Board of Australia. This ensures that we maintain the highest standards of care and address any underlying mental health concerns.

  • What happens in a Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) screening?

Our healthcare professionals will ask general questions about BDD in your medical history form upon arrival at your appointment, followed by formal screening if deemed necessary. This helps us tailor treatment plans and make informed decisions to ensure your well-being.

Your privacy and confidentiality are of utmost importance to us throughout the entire screening process.

  • Can I get Cosmetic Aesthetic treatments while pregnant?

No. Your safety is our main concern and for this reason, we do not treat clients who are pregnant. We advise against all Cosmetic Aesthetic treatments while pregnant simply out of precaution and due to the lack of information available on Cosmetic Aesthetic treatment effects on the fetus.

  • I am booked in for a Cosmetic Aesthetics treatment. Do I need to do anything beforehand?
Avoid vigorous physical activity or any large intakes of alcohol for 24 hours as this increases the risk of bruising. Aspirin and Vitamin E should not be taken one week before the treatment.
  • What Cosmetic Aesthetic products do you use?

For legal reasons, we cannot publish the brand names of prescription medicines.

At your consultation, your Cosmetic Registered Nurse or Doctor can recommend which market-leading brand is suitable for you and your desired goals.
